The idea that an Irish Sea border is unconscionable but a "Celtic Sea border" is fine is one of the odder threads of Brexitism....as well as being another demonstration that no one in the Leave movement thought about Ireland/NI before the referendum.
It's also a classically English view of Ireland with scant appreciation of history. Let's face it, a majority of the English would say FO to NI (and the whole island of Ireland) given half the chance. No one really understands it or cares enough to try.
In my experience, even Tory Unionists view it through a generalised/status quo/misty-eyed loyalty prism.
Few actually give a flying toss these days and Brexit has contributed to that.

They were happy with DUP stopping May, but will jettison DUP at the first opportunity.
