Rather than lamenting the absence of specific statutes against "domestic terrorism," remember that this is not just domestic in nature.

These individuals are radicalized on websites that are not found on domestic soil. That gives it an international nexus...
And in most cases, foreign individuals and infrastructure clearly are behind part of the radicalization; American citizens are being used as crude weapons to attack civilians on American soil.

So that's plain ol' international terrorism.
And, like they always say, guns don't kill people, right? 🤔

Here's a question for journalists can ask politicians.

Since legally obtained weapons designed for military action are powering mass shootings:
What is the maximum number of mass shootings per week, that can be tolerated before you will stop sales of new assault weapons?
Is it a number per state? Per city? Per school?

Is the total number of incidents, deaths, or casualties, or victims (those present at a shooting) a factor?

Is the age of victims a factor?
The amount of years of life taken from the combined number of victims killed?
Or is it a percentage?

i.e. once n% of assault rifles sold in the past year have been used in a mass shooting or other homicide, the common good outweighs the anyone's perceived ?

Is that 15%? 40%? 70%?

This really makes me wonder how google determines how busy an establishment is in real-time. 🤔
And by that, I mean I KNOW how location can be determined...

My question is how *google* gets that data from the location:

extrapolating from stats based on location of installed apps?

Actual counts/capacity measures from inside the store? i.e. do stores partner?
Maybe how full the parking lot is from satellite photos?

One thing I point out in the #LowerEd epilogue is that there is a political context to shifting legitimacy to corporate highered. The GOP isn't shy about it. It's their official policy platform. Of Liberty, Alec shows this nicely
It is the context that colleagues like @Lollardfish @ldburnett @reclaimUC have tirelessly researched, written about and archived: the culture wars never ended. They merely transformed and became more deeply ingrained in "legitimate" political discourse
