Here's a question for journalists can ask politicians.

Since legally obtained weapons designed for military action are powering mass shootings:
What is the maximum number of mass shootings per week, that can be tolerated before you will stop sales of new assault weapons?

Is it a number per state? Per city? Per school?

Is the total number of incidents, deaths, or casualties, or victims (those present at a shooting) a factor?

Is the age of victims a factor?
The amount of years of life taken from the combined number of victims killed?

Or is it a percentage?

i.e. once n% of assault rifles sold in the past year have been used in a mass shooting or other homicide, the common good outweighs the anyone's perceived ?

Is that 15%? 40%? 70%?
