THREAD: Svetlana Gannushkina is a partisan witch who refused to process my & my children's refugee application because of my association with @wikileaks & Julian Assange, who she hates for documenting her relationship with the US Ambassador, in Cablegate
@wikileaks Gannushkina, featured in the article in the above embedded tweet by @Snowden, is the head of the @UNHCR-affiliated agency for Refugee processing in Moscow, Russia, and only advances the applications of persons who are aligned with her pro-Western political interests & allies.
@wikileaks @Snowden @unhcr Her refusal to judge my case on its merits because of her personal animus towards Julian Assange - a hatred that she openly disclosed to myself and my Russian lawyer - materially affected my asylum application & is a primary reason my case has gone unresolved for so many years

THAT SAID: I dont support "activists" who choose to side with (& receive funds from) certain states in order to disadvantage other states
@wikileaks @Snowden @unhcr In fact, people like Gannushkina who use their organisational power to the detriment of activists whose work they dislike, such as myself, are in fact mimicking the very types of political discrimination that they themselves claim to be victims of. Hers is an abject hypocrisy.
@wikileaks @Snowden @unhcr The semi-smiling photo in the article posted by @Snowden is not the Gannushkina I saw, twice, not four feet in front of me behind closed doors. The Gannushkina I saw was vicious and mean-spirited, with a total lack of empathy and I would say, even disdain and disrespect.
@wikileaks @Snowden @unhcr Not only did she refuse to process my application, she refused to admit in writing that she was refusing to process me. She said that she would only confirm that I had attended the meetings, but would not confirm any outcome, ie. she would "neither confirm/nor deny" the rejection
@wikileaks @Snowden @unhcr This was a deliberate manoeuvre on her part to stop me being able to escalate her rejection of my application to international @UNHCR bodies. Leaving myself and my children in a legal limbo that has lasted more than 3 years. Preventing my children being able to access education

The effects of what she did to me are so far-reaching, and were done purely out of spite on her part. Our lives became an opportunity for her to get back at Julian...

@wikileaks @Snowden @unhcr I have no doubt Russian protesters, just like protesters nearly everywhere in the world ESPECIALLY THE WEST are targeted and harassed and endangered.
But that does not mean I will sit silently while covert state agents dressed as activists are held up to be adored by the masses

@wikileaks @Snowden @unhcr Whatever good work she may or may not have done in her time, her behaviour towards myself and my children in effectively sabotaging our legitimate asylum case demonstrated Gannushkina to be a fraud and I have not forgiven, and I will not forget.
@wikileaks @Snowden @unhcr Yes, I applaud @Snowden for having the balls, quite frankly, to speak to potentially his own detriment, for those who don't have such a sizeable platform to do it. I respect that about him. But I also remember who helped him gain refugee status, and asylum, and who stopped mine.

@wikileaks @Snowden @unhcr I have wonderful lawyers working on my case and I have hope the issues will be resolved in the future. I am just extremely disappointed that we had to go this long and arduous route, because of the corruption of Gannushkina and her organisation.
