Thread: what's up for me in the coming weeks/months:

That said, it's a project that needs to be put together with great care. I want it to be managed and driven by a horizontal hierarchy of survivors. I will put a lot of thought and care into how this should be formed, on what platform and when it should be launched.
I don't envision SAAPSAR playing judge and jury on individual cases, but rather providing a more broad authoritative commentary about the dangers of politicisation of rape and sexual assault and why allegations of such must never be leveraged or weaponised for political gain.
Secondly: I dropped everything to do what I did in the last week, because it was too important not to. I was supposed to be launching a different campaign, one I & other activists I trust have been working on since late last year. I hinted at this in Freeing Julian Assange Pt. 2
Although its my campaign I won't be fronting it myself & I'll be handing over my social media accounts to assist the team promoting it. That means I get to take a much-needed long-awaited social media break for a while. I overworked badly in 2018-2019. It had a physical price :(
Thirdly: I hate loose ends so I will try to push out Part 3 of 'Freeing Julian Assange' really quickly. It's important to me to pass on what lessons I've learned to those activists who may find themselves facing some of what I have. Such advice really helped me in perilous times.
Fourthly: I feel compelled to advocate & campaign for at-risk, worthy people, but I'm terrible at doing it for myself. I perpetually put myself on the back-burner even though my situation is extremely tenuous. I'm lucky to now have wonderful people willing to support me in turn.
Caveat: if they come after Melzer again, I'll be back, in spades.
We can't keep letting them destroy those few who are brave enough to speak truth.
