Fox Corp bought a majority stake in Credible Labs, which is a middleman for refinancing personal and student loans. 🤨

They take a cut from companies that give out the loans, which means they’re getting a cut of the personal & student loan pie.

Shares of Mattel dropped after they announced they were suddenly cancelling a planned debt sale and disclosing the existence of an “anonymous whistleblower letter.”

Mattel said they were going to launch an investigation into “matters” that were disclosed in the whistleblower letter, but they offered no further details.
The only clue is in this letter that Mattel filed with the SEC recently, which says “On August 6, 2019, Mattel, Inc. (the “Company”) was made aware of an anonymous whistleblower letter” and they canceled their debt sale in order to investigate it.

Facebook is suing app developers LionMobi & JediMobi for advertising/click fraud.

LionMobi is owned by #China's Sichuan Xun You Network.

JediMobi is registered in Singapore, thoI haven't been able to find who owns them yet.

And LOL...Deloitte has given them numerous awards.
Deloitte has some other troubles of their own. They are one of the #BigAuditors who are under multiple investigations.

Ex-CIA software engineer Joshua Schulte, who was charged with theft & transmitting national defense info/Vault 7 CIA files to Wikileaks, asked for (& will receive) a separate trial for his child porn charges.

Just wait until you see how the FBI found most of the child porn...
Schulte supposedly knows tech, programming, etc, and even had systems administrator access to the files that were leaked.
While searching his desktop computer regarding the Vault 7 leaks, FBI found a photo that depicted child porn, so they got a separate search warrant to look for further evidence.

Ramtha is like one of those fake evangelical churches in the 80s except with a made up religion. Their transparent move to absorb Q was a crude smash-n-grab to expand their offering and add another line-item on their balance sheet. Don't get suckered in.

My company was raided. It should have been a straightforward matter. But the #MetPolice & #LBRUT forgot to seize my computer & came back to do a 2nd raid. The search warrant didn't permit a second entry, however, #LBRUT entered unlawfully

Complaints were then made to my MP #VinceCable. He liaised with the #Metpolice & #LBRUT. And then weeks later, the search warrant was completely changed & was passed off as the search warrant executed on the day of the raids.

CMS just released a new proposed rule for the Medicare ACO program (SSP). Here's my thread on the major parts of the new rule (summarized in a @health_affairs blog by Seem Verma) and potential implications. Brief version: huge changes; some good, more bad.

One set of major changes: benchmarking. These include incorporating regional benchmarks so as not to penalize ACOs with a large market share who are causing their region's spending to slow. Good thoughts in this thread on how this matters.
Also changes to risk adjustment. Combined with benchmarking, this moves MSSP benchmarks closer to Medicare Advantage, which many have argued would be a good thing. (Post some links if you are one of those people, I'm not expert in the key details here).
