But it's not *just* eyes, not remembering the two cities with shootings.

As soon as I saw the screenshot with "Texas and Ohio" on one line I knew that was where he got Toledo from, but context and prior knowledge should have told him that was wrong.

If he remembered, if he cared.

I don't think it is fruitful, responsible, or necessary to try to parse out how much is apathy, how much is forgetfulness, and how much is vision related.

We can't tell from the outside, it's very unlikely to be all one thing, and honestly, it's all alarming.

I'd say it's all disqualifying (not needing glasses but refusing them to the point it impacts performance) but uh we have a problem with the idea of presidential qualifications, insofar as we routinely fail to identify the body responsible for evaluating them.

If we could count on his seconds to invoke the 25th amendment to remove him... well, that would only work if the person picking them were someone less venal, vainglorious, and incompetent, and so we wouldn't be here.

So. Like.

Yes, he needs glasses. He might deny this in the near future if it gains traction but he has admitted it before.

But resist the urge to simplify reality to fit one neat little theory.

And the real problem, that he won't wear glasses and won't accept workarounds other than "don't expect me to read anything for my job, running the country"... that's not a vision thing, that's just more of the overall problem of him as a person.
