First, hypocrisy.
The term has universal moral application. What’s good for me is good for you. No one therefore is above anyone else, and we’re all morally, though not literally, equal.
Not long ago, people who were aligned with what was then called the Tea Party said they were committed to the rule of law, limited government and fiscal responsibility—all higher-order principles independent of individual or group interest.
They didn’t mean it.
