Okay you white people that keep saying immigrants are taking your jobs, there is now 600 new jobs in Mississippi. Now get your ass to that chicken plant and apply for a job.
Okay I don’t mind intelligent exchanges but I had to block the Penguin because first of all, no resorting to name calling like elitist trash because someone doesn’t agree with you. Secondly, it’s not 20 years ago and most Americans now days will NOT work at those kind of jobs.
I want to say something here. So many times we raise our children so they can have a better world than we did. Which is good. However, if we are going to raise children who strive for better jobs, we must be understand someone will have to fill those jobs our kids longer will.
And that last bit should read jobs our kids no longer will. It was too damn early in the morning and I was still on my first cup of tea. LOL
Going to say something here. I said white people because coming from the oilfield I know many PoC who want nothing to do with working in the oilfield. I have NO problem with that. But, they don’t turn around and blame immigrants for take a job they didn’t want to begin with.
No I’m going to say something else. If you don’t want to work in the oilfield, a chicken plant, picking fruit, etc. because you want something better I have no problem with that. However, if you claim an immigrant took the job you didn’t want, I have a BIG problem with you.

I am utterly blown away by the responses here. I also have to get some laundry done. Ya’ll please keep the discussion civil because it is a complex problem that needs civil discussion of ALL angles of it. It’s not a one dimensional issue here. I love you all for discussing it.
