This white supremacist violence is only going to exponentially escalate if we do nothing. This is not a fad; this is a war.
I genuinely think people don’t realize the degree and frequency with which these hate crimes are occurring now. They’re pretty rarely picked up by national press.
Also worth noting here: the house had been undergoing renovations from a previous fire, which now looks pretty fucking suspicious too.

All I can say is: let this shit fill you with righteous anger and a hunger for justice rather than resignation and fear. If we’re united and we fight we cannot lose.

More and more people are going to be looking at the state of the world and questioning everything they thought they knew about it. As communists we need to be willing and able to provide them with the answers. If we aren’t, someone else will be.
As @catdadaeternal puts it, people become “activatable” (ideologically receptive) or not due to material conditions. But as we head closer to the collapse of capitalism, more people than ever are going to have their worlds turned upside down. We need to be ready to catch them.

They obviously don’t cause mass shootings but if movies and video games didn’t have any influence on people’s behavior the Defense Department wouldn’t be pumping money into both industries to influence the content.
And if you weren’t aware that happened I encourage you to look into it because it’s way more fucked up and widespread than I’m making it sound here.
Feel free to post links to sources, I’m at work and can’t do that right now but it’s been well-documented by even mainstream press.

People with mental illnesses are not necessarily or even usually less rational than people without them. The only reason people think that is the false notion that a “normal” person is totally rational and that irrationality therefore is *only* present because of mental illness.
Depressed people, for instance, actually give more accurate self-evaluations than the general public. I’ll try to find that study later when I get the chance.
Everybody has “irrational” thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. That’s what being human is. If you think any eccentric, abnormal, or exceptional behavior must be due to mental illness, it’s because you don’t really understand what humans are or how the mind works.

White supremacists are the only ones committing massacres. There is no "both sides."

Republicans are the ones promoting white nationalism and refusing to address gun violence. There is no "both sides."
White supremacy & hatred is what's keeping Trump in office. I've been saying this since 2016 and events keep proving me right. The racism, misogyny, anti-immigrant hatred & attacks on LGBTQ are not side effects of this admin, they are the primary feature. Hatred is the point.
There's a long list of Constitutional violations as well as criminal, immoral and unethical conduct that should disqualify Trump from the presidency apart from the fact that he is fueling white supremacist violence.

Yet racism is exactly why he's enabled to remain in power.
