The problem for Attorney General Bill Barr is not investigating what we don’t know, but rather navigating through what ‘We The People’ are already aware of….
A branch of the United States government (congress) was attempting a coup against the leader of another branch of government (executive); by using planted and designated corrupt agents within the cabinet
And when caught leaking Top Secret Classified Documents, the DOJ had to let the leaker (SSCI Director James Wolfe) walk, because powerful Senators were the ones who told him to leak the information.

The Senate Intel Committee was a participant in the soft coup. This includes all the republicans on the committee. Look up the GOP attendees at the Sea Island "stop Trump" meeting in March 2016, and you'll find the assembly.
Senate Intel Committee Director of Security, James Wolfe, was busted leaking the Carter Page FISA warrant to the media. To protect himself he threatened to subpoena the committee and toot sweet the charges for leaking Classified Info disappeared.

In introductory statement, Barr acknowledges Russian meddling in the 2016 election, but claims "the Russian operatives who perpetrated these schemes did not have the cooperation of President Trump or the Trump campaign, or the knowing assistance of any other American."
BARR: "The special counsel found no evidence that any American, including anyone associated with the Trump campaign, conspired or coordinated with the Russian government or the IRS in this illegal scheme... the special counsel found no collusion."
