Let’s talk neoliberalism. Neoliberalism is not liberalism. Modern neoliberalism stems from Reaganism and Thatcherism.

Trump is a neoliberal.

Neoliberalism mainstreamed in the 80s by way of evangelicals and the resurrected corpse of the economist Milton Friedman.

Neoliberalism’s incipience begins in the late 70s, right about when Noam Chomsky warned of “a new breed of liberalism.”

Now, Friedman was kinduva lowgrade dude. He was basically marginalized and had all these frootloops theories based on his mentor Hayek.

The vid above is Chomsky. Before you get caught up in buzzwords and labels listen to what he says: He is warning of the metastasization of liberalism into a corporate multi-core state. Trickle-down bullshit and corporate personhood and primacy are hallmarks of neoliberal thought.

Also note that when I say neoliberalism I am referring to its modern, actualized form under whose yoke the globe lives today. Early or proto-neoliberalism began back in the 30s or some shit.

Also, trickle-down theory first plopped out someone’s ass back in the 1800s—it was shit.

No, literally—the theory was predicated on shit. They called it the Horse and Sparrow theory of economics and it said that if you feed an ass or a horse enough grain there would be enough undigested seed left in its shit to feed all the sparrows.

Humans die. Cheating is forever.

So you have the desiccated corpse of Friedman wheeled out of an attic somewhere so Thatcher and Reagan could elevate him and lend credence to their theft I mean ideas.

We begin this YUGE period of deregulation and dismantling state oversight over corporations, sold as “freedom.”

I’m gonna skip over Dem complicity in neoliberalism b/c frankly I think I’ll lose you. Keep your heroes I won’t touch ‘em.

So FF to Trump. We tend to think of this guy as some singularity or some shit when in fact he’s just been lifted up by evangelicals and a petro-fossil gang.

The evangelical infiltration of governance and its reorientation twd “family values” (read: PATRIARCHY) began in the 50s or thereabouts. God wasn’t always mentioned so gd much on our bills and in our salutes ‘n’ shit.

So they hitched their wagon to Reagan (or vice versa). Amen?

So now we have Trump and fuckin Pence, basically the bosom buddies of modern American evangelical corporate monopoly capitalism—the primacy of the corporation as extension of powerful men, who of course, are meant to rule the world.

Super sane, right? And I’m sure super moral 🙄

So now neoliberalism has swallowed the world and Trump wants to be King of Earth or whatever—and I do believe the evangelicals want that too.

They think he is the second coming of an ancient king named Cyrus who was yup, known as a builder.

If this sounds insane it’s cuz it is.

Throw in apocalypticists—Bush II—and we realize these powerassholes WANT climate crises, they WANT Armageddon in the Middle East.

Now, I’m not one to believe in good vs evil, that things are so cut ‘n’ dry. But these wackadoodle fucks have made Biblical prophecy self-fulfilling.

Basically what they did is take neoliberalism—“if you can get it it’s yours”-type ideas—and apply a “prosperity gospel” to spiritual teaching, saying that material gain is the same as immaterial greatness.

Huh?

Neoliberalism is the elevation of greed and resource accumulation.

Today, neoliberal adherents are so focused on being “chosen” they’re basically just doofy materialists trucking w/ religious freaks and they can all be great together.

Ironically they’re the Evil in their stupid-as-forks-in-cereal manufactured Apocalypse.

We are being held hostage by neoliberalism. Entire populations are held at financial gunpont for interest, seeing their paid-for services stripped away. It’s slavery.

A handful of rich assholes hold nukes to Earth’s head like pistols in a holdup.

So what do we—the hostages—do?

I’m just a cartoon dog and I don’t hold the answers. But I think we—together—do.

We must reprioritize beyond the material, rediscover our connectedness. Otherwise the dipshits will get their Poopageddon.

We share air. We share water. We share Earth. How bout we act like it?
