Invoking the possibility of Obama’s assassination when white-supremacist violence is rising seems reckless, at the very least. Even if there was a more salient point, I can’t understand why any candidate—let alone Obama’s own vice president—would say this. rol.st/2ziXtJl
Then, there is this part: “Biden then spoke about the Vietnam War protest at Kent State saying, ‘You had over 40 kids shot at Kent State on a beautiful lawn by the National Guard.’ Except, four students were killed during the 1970 protest and nine others were wounded.” Man, what?
“Well, you know why Biden is for the E.R.A., he’s probably gay,” Biden also said, supposedly quoting unnamed detractors of his support of the Equal Rights Amendment, which would guarantee all genders equal protection under the Constitution. What did that have to do with anything?
National anxiety, gun violence, and equal rights for women are all tangentially related to health care, I guess. But Biden was in New Hampshire, ostensibly, to discuss that latter topic with voters. I’m curious about his ideas on that front—and hope that he steps off Memory Lane.
