Did an editor read my thread at all?? Would love to talk to this national review editor because this interpretation is mystifying.

I've spent years dealing with men's rights monsters, anti-feminists and trolls sending me hate. Death threats, rape threats, photoshopped images that looked like I was or had been murdered, threats to my kid, insults to my husband, threats to call CPS...

This is the nicest thing a stranger has ever done for me:

We couldn't get into our home for weeks after it was damaged in the Woolsey Fire, so we were living in a rental up in Oxnard. The day after we moved in, I had to go to Target to buy new EVERYTHING, basically.... 1/?
Imagine: clothes for all of us, underwear, baby high chair, toys, diapers, kitchen stuff, every food item you take for granted in your kitchen, towels, backpacks for the kids etc. And it's not shopping you want to do. Not fun.

Kids & I had 2 full carts + baby in her stroller...
I hadn't slept much in days, so when the baby fell asleep, we sat down in the cafe and I rested my head on all the towels in the cart and fell asleep (my boys are old enough for this to be safe).

When I woke up, a woman with kids had come along, guessed why we were there and...

The 2013 anti-Igbo pieces @realFFK wrote caused national uproar at the time. There were even calls for his arrest for peddling hate speech. Every sensible person was unanimous in conviction that FFK is a BIGOT. So it’s not surprising to see what he’s now saying about the Fulani
There was even a tweetfight of sorts at the time. As usual, @realFFK resorted to the only weapon he knows: Tribalism and Tribal Taunts. The most Tribalistic person in the world yet the first to accuse other people of Tribalism.

He’s been like this for a long time btw.

So. I was born in 1976. I started school in August 1980, just before I turned 5, at home - my older brother had attended an ACE kindergarten, and it was deemed too liberal by my parents (his teacher wore PANTS when she wasn't teaching!) #thread CW: Abuse
I was literally part of the first wave of Christian Right-wing Homeschoolers; my parents had planned to homeschool us illegally, and it became legal that month in Louisiana because a legislator's relative wanted to homeschool.
I learned to read when I was 4. I also was acutely observant and aware - because by that time I'd already survived broken bones in my arm and neck, at least one rape, and an STD. This made me hypervigilant, and also primed me to be skeptical of everything around me.
