If you are writing just one thing about the USCIS policy change today for children born abroad by U.S. gov't employees or service members, I hope you're de-escalating and not trying to needlessly scare the crap out of people./
I will acknowledge that the statement that USCIS first offered with the policy change was poorly worded. (Although, if you just read through the actual policy manual update, you could have figured it out.)

Still. Your first instinct should be to NOT PANIC.
Instead, people did the complete wrong thing and decided OMG, WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE, and then shared that on Twitter.
