The DOJ's Inspector General issues its report concluding that James "Ethical Leadership" @Comey "violated Department and FBI policies, and his FBI Employment Agreement." This likely means his hiring by @CNN is imminent: that's what they look for: oig.justice.gov/reports/2019/o…
@Comey @CNN Part of Comey's wrongdoing, according to the Inspector General, was leaking sensitive investigative FBI information about Trump/Russia to the New York Times, which both FBI regulations and his own agreement barred him from leaking.
@Comey @CNN Even senior members of Comey's own leadership team were "shocked" and "stunned" and "disappointed" when they learned of Comey's misconduct and improper leaking. Time for a sequel to "Ethical Leadership." Let the bidding war between MSNBC & CNN commence:
@Comey @CNN The IG explains why @Comey's improprieties are so grave: "the civil liberties of every individual who may fall within the scope of the FBI's investigative authorities depend on FBI's ability to protect sensitive information from unauthorized disclosure."
@Comey @CNN The final condemnation of @Comey from the IG is devastating. Comey has always been a complete fraud: a dangerous one. Read the conclusion
@Comey @CNN Maybe skepticism & scrutiny are appropriate for the claims & actions of security state agents like the director of the J. Edgar Hoover FBI, rather than blind faith and invocations of a patriotic duty to believe. Maybe #Resistance calls for opposition to the FBI, not applause.
