I don't think recall ever having seen a frontbench minister behaving like Jacob Rees-Mogg, who's using the bench like a sunlounger, sprawled out horizontally. Every time the camera cuts from a passionate speaker to him, I think "how rude" all over again.
If you're not in front of a TV, this is what it looks like...
Well done! Caroline Lucas (best Prime Minister we'll never have) just called him out on it, spelling "for Hansard" that he is sprawled out across three seats, disrespecting MPs.
Tom Brake just suggested someone should bring him a pillow so that he can be more comfortable. JRM didn't stir.
BTW an anagram of Jacob Rees-Mogg is "Meagre Jobs Cog". Seems somehow appropriate...

The most disgraceful line of reasoning the last few days (there have been many contenders!) is the statement that each month we stay in the EU "wastes £1 billion which could be spent on XYZ instead".

That implies a value of £0 placed on everything that EU membership offers us.
And it's not just one guilty party. Tons of Tories adopted almost exactly the same line in the debates over the last couple of days. Accusing the rebel alliance of forcing the UK to waste £1 billion every month, money that could be spent on better things instead.
Since that's the net figure after rebate etc. (actually it's *more* than we pay, but maybe they rounded up to get a nice easy monthly figure) it really does mean they see our EU membership as completely worthless.

Netflix just increased their price: "Your monthly price is increasing to £8.99 on Saturday, 5th October 2019. Why? We’re hard at work improving Netflix so that you can have even more great TV programmes and films to enjoy." Poor justification attempt for 12.5% price rise.
BTW, they have over 10 million UK subscribers, so that's £120 million more a year that UK households will be paying. It's not a tax, of course - people subscribe voluntarily - but it is a rise in their cost of living.
NOTE: I personally feel it's reasonable value at the higher price too. This is more about how something that looks small (£1 a month) can be large both in percentage terms, and in total amount. Now think how many other things always seem to go up by £1-2 a month, e.g. internet.

The water rises to chest height as David Davis insists he isn't getting wet.

2. First, some background. From 1899 to 1901, roughly 48,000 people died in British concentration camps in South Africa. Of the 28,000 white deaths, 22,000 were children under 16. Over 4,000 were women. The 20,000 Black deaths were less clearly recorded, but c.80% were children.
3. The camps killed about 10% of the total white population & perhaps a quarter of Boer women and children. Most died of diseases like typhoid, their resistance weakened by malnutrition. This is Lizze Van Zyl, whose food rations were cut to put pressure on her father to surrender
