Now that I have sneezed a dozen times, I am wondering about all the Bernie fans who read "Outsider in the White House" in 2015 when it came out. I had no interest and did not read it, but certainly Chris Hayes and others must have. How did not one of them bring it up?
Even a a prophylactic measure to get ahead of the story and frame it in the best possible way, they should have brought it up. It is dismaying that it took a right-wing site to air the dirty laundry. You know a lot of people had to have read that book and kept mum
It's not a conspiracy, but it is one by one by one, a lot of people deciding not to mention a truly awful idea by their candidate, and by awful idea, I mean the idea he can use a hurtful word to explain white working-class racism.
And seriously, isn't it excusing racism to say, see, they have next to nothing, but having racism makes it bearable? I know people choose again and again to prefer poverty to equality, but it's a knowing choice. A deliberate choice on their part
And seriously, what is the difference between feeling better about being poor because some other group is more afflicted and seeing an inequity and thinking it is acceptable because the afflicted people deserve it for some reason? Racism is racism no matter why someone accepts it
