funny to see only Muslim Congressis of pre-indep Assam mentioned (including M. Bhasani) as leading "pro-Bangla" allegedly triggering thwarting Sylhet referendum route to inclusion of Srihatta& pogrom by chauvinists "out of fear" ag Bong Hindus.: careful silence& careful memory.
came across this agitprop putting Maulana Bhasani as a spearhead of "pro-Bangla" movement that allegedly forced the chauvinist to push-back on Sylhet: reality: Bhasani spearheadeed campaign to keep Sylhet in Pakistan, & was how he first gained pol prominence.
will wait to see the same agitprop/"response" to include names of Hindu Congressis of pre-Indep Assam who led the anti-Bangla campaign, and explanation as to why that "fear of Bangla/Bengali" only took out in sadism on the Bong Hindu but with one exception, never the Bong Muslim.
as for grievance for loss of "KochBihar" to Bengal, this expulsion/torture of co-pre-existing ethnicities was even in medieval - when Shankardeva was "expelled" by "Ahom" chauvinists, his kin tortured/executed - Koch kingdom gave him refuge. Ahom-Koch relation wasnt a lovely one.

How does being target of JLN's anger automatically prove what NC wrote was not false or lies? Is that what ur formal training in "sociology=science" teaches as logic?

Some Eur channels, like @France24 doing their best to promote the jihadi agenda for Kashmir as an extension of Middle East's ghazwa on the non-Muslim world: here r a few pts on what reality will be if any or all of their agitprop claims actually play out.
@FRANCE24 (1) jihadi media claim: Kashmir's uniqueness lies in its "Islamicness", its "majority Muslim demography" which must be protected at any and all costs (esp at cost to "Hindu nationalists", Hindus r only "good" if they give up territory/ppl to jihadis).
@FRANCE24 @FRANCE24 has over last few days repeated claims of "10,000's march" without producing supportive visuals, "fear of 300,000 Hindus to be brought into Kashmir to change its demography". Where did the "300000" number come frm? most likely CIA estimate of expelled Kashmiri Hindus.

Reporting in #Assam on the chaos & fear arnd the govt naming ppl foreigners, we ran into this funeral. 93-yr-old Ashrab Ali frm Salausuti, Kamrup, drank pesticide yday, after his #NRC hearing, called coz someone filed an objection against his inclusion in the citizens register
Ashrab Ali's name was in the #NRC draft list. Someone filed an objection against this. When Ashrab's entire family was called for a hearing on May 23. The objector apparently didn't turn up, which is common in #Assam today, even tho 3 lakh objections were filed.
His son said that when the #NRC official took his biometrics, Ashrab was extremely worried this meant that he has "become a foreigner". The citizenship of his 2 sons and daughter depends on his own.
