It has been a pleasure to discuss with delegates our poster P2.01-49 today at #WCLC2019. Let me summarize some of the most important points (take home messages): #oncoalert 
Patients with brain metastasis of NSCLC treated with brain radiotherapy and systemic treatment (n=64) that take silibinin supplementation (n=15) present significal benefit in our retrospective study: mOS=6.3 months vs 28.5 months, p=0.000052. This is Kaplan Meier survival curve👇
Probably you are initially incredulous of this really promising results. The biological explanation has been elegantly reported in the 2018 work lead by @valientelab: silibinin inhibits pSTAT3 reactive astrocytes, required for brain metastasis survival. nature.com/articles/s4159…
