@Melt_Dem @Max_Newton @binance This may not be feasible for serious trading. As crypto goes mainstream most execution will likely be algorithmic, where key advantage is co-location. No matter how sophisticated consensus mechanisms, latency due to synchronisation across distributed network will be limitation.
@Melt_Dem @Max_Newton @binance As a result of this limitation of distributed systems, most institutional trading, which will set prices and attract most of the liquidity will occur on centralised order-books. Anyone that does not operate this way will likely be retail investors, and mostly for small amounts.
@Melt_Dem @Max_Newton @binance So key point here “speed of light” will ensure decentralised order books won’t automatically exclude centralised ones. They’ll likely be used by different type of users.
