PLAYER THREAD- A look ahead!

Following on from @fplschool and their in depth thread of every team’s fixtures, I’m looking at every team’s most interesting players to target.

Feel free to post opinions, retweets and likes are always appreciated 😁

PLAYER THREAD- Arsenal

Player- Maitland-Niles

Fixtures- wat, AVL, mnu, BOU

Arsenal’s second highest scoring player (albeit mostly in one game). Has potential to offer attacking and defensive returns. 0.64xA is pretty tasty 👌🏻

PLAYER THREAD- Aston Villa

Player- Wesley Moraes

Fixtures- WHU, ars, BUR,nor

The focal point of Villa’s attack and with fairly kind fixtures to provide attacking returns. 0.70xG isn’t too shabby and we should expect returns 👌🏻

PLAYER THREAD- Bournemouth

Player- Harry Wilson

Fixtures- EVE,sou,WHU,ars

Brilliant point returns since signing on loan. On free kicks and fills the creative hole since Brooks has been out. 0.47xG and 0.42xA shows he has it all. Invest 🔥

PLAYER THREAD- Brighton

Player- Neal Maupay

Fixtures- BUR,new,che,TOT

Fixtures aren’t great which is a shame. Building up to leading the line and with a xG of 1.46 he’s showing how clinical he can be. Worth a punt 👌🏻

PLAYER THREAD- Burnley

Player- Ashley Barnes

Fixtures- bri,NOR,avl,EVE

Could be one man with his start to the season. 27 points, 4 goals and an xG of 2.21. Still cheap at £6.7m. There isn’t much more to say 🔥🔥

PLAYER THREAD- Chelsea

Player- Tammy Abraham

Fixtures- wol,LIV,BRI,sou

Leading the line and seems to have the faith of FL. In great form but some interesting fixtures to come. 1.81 xG and 0.87 xA he’s dangerous and returns are hard earned 👀

PLAYER THREAD- C. Palace

Player- van Aanholt

Fixtures- tot,WOL,NOR,whu

An FPL darling of years gone. Palace are showing they can still keep clean sheets and PVA is more than capable of providing goals and assists. Fixtures aren’t too kind though 🤞🏻

PLAYER THREAD- Everton

Player- Gylfi Sigurdsson

Fixtures- bou,SHU,MCI,bur

Don’t be fooled by his lack of returns so far, his best weeks are coming. He has great short term fixtures and Everton are starting to click. xG of 0.72 and xA of 1.07. Expect that to increase. 👍🏻

PLAYER THREAD- Leicester

Player- Jamie Vardy

Fixtures- mnu,TOT,NEW,liv

Boring pick but this guy is in fine form. Don’t be put off by fixtures as he can score against anybody. No point stating stats either as he always over performs. Buy! 💪🏻

PLAYER THREAD- Liverpool

Player- Mo Salah

Fixtures- NEW,che,shu,LEI

The main man at Pool. Could easily have been Mane too. Fixtures are beautiful. 2.71 xG. If you don’t own one or the other then you need to rethink your team. 🤦🏻‍♂️

PLAYER THREAD- Man City

Player- Kevin De Bruyne

Fixtures- nor,WAT,eve,WOL

KDB is seriously balling right now. With an xG of 1.26 and an incredible xA of 2.97, you need to find a way of getting this man into your team. Lovely fixtures, amazing team. 😘

PLAYER THREAD- Man Utd

Player- Dan James

Fixtures- LEI,whu,ARS,new

James has hit the ground running and is in great goal scoring form. He is slightly over performing (3 goals with a xG of 1.05) but fits perfectly into Ole’s counter attacking team. £6.1m. Worth a go 🤞🏻

PLAYER THREAD- Newcastle

Player- Fabian Schar

Fixtures- liv,BRI,lei,MNU

This was a hard pick. Their fixtures aren’t the best but Schar has shown he can lead Newcastle in the points scored section. Not bad in set plays either 🤔

PLAYER THREAD- Norwich

Player- Todd Cantwell

Obviously Pukki is a great buy but Cantwell is only £4.8m and actually has a higher xG than Pukki! Playing in a very attacking Norwich team, this guy should be the 5th mid in your team 🤯

PLAYER THREAD- Sheff Utd

Player- Enda Stevens

Fixtures- SOU,eve,LIV,wat

Sheff Utd have already shown they can defend well and Stevens has gone under the radar this year. Nailed and 15 points from 5 games isn’t bad. An assist or two should be incoming too 🤫

PLAYER THREAD- Southampton

Player- Jannik Vestergaard

Fixtures- shu,BOU,tot,CHE

The top scoring Saints player who has achieved 100% of the bonus points in his last 2 games. Short term fixtures are pretty sweet and offers attacking threat from set pieces 👊🏻

PLAYER THREAD- Tottenham

Player- Christian Eriksen

Fixtures- CPL,lei,SOU,bri

Completely dependent on him now starting games. When he plays, Spurs are a better team and he offers goals and assists aplenty. Kind fixtures make the gamble easier to take 👌🏻

PLAYER THREAD- Watford

Player- Will Hughes

Fixtures- ARS,mci,wol,SHU

Hopefully a new manager can sort this team out as they’re a mess. Hughes has a goal and an assist in this pretty dreadful team but upcoming fixtures aren’t kind. Sorry guys! 🤮

PLAYER THREAD- West Ham

Player-Sébastien Haller

Fixtures- vil,MNU,bou,CPL

Haller is emerging as a great option up front and his 3 goals to an xG of 3.03 shows his form is completely sustainable. Would fancy him to score 2-4 goals in the next four fixtures 🔥

PLAYER THREAD- Wolves

Player- Raúl Jiménez

Fixtures- CHE,cpl,WAT,mnc

Finally hitting his goal scoring form but Wolves’ European commitments are dampening expectations. Played every minute in the league and we know he offers returns 👍🏻
