Greenland is melting. Today is expected to be the single biggest melt in recorded history, as 12 billion tons of water dump into the ocean - causing irreparable rise in sea levels.

The next President has to lead on climate as no president has before.
Everyone please read this piece by @EricHolthaus in @RollingStone. There is so much to care about, but for the sake of the future of our grandchildren, humanity itself and millions of species on this planet, every voter has to be a climate voter in 2020.

Cyclone #Idai is expected to make landfall in Mozambique later this week -- potentially the strongest cyclone to do so in 20 years.

Current JTWC estimate is 90kt, but real-time satellite estimation is much stronger, about 105kt.
Beira, a city of 500,000 people, is in line for a direct hit from Cyclone #Idai.

Most of the city is only a few feet above sea level, and Idai’s storm surge could directly affect thousands.

This is a looming humanitarian catastrophe.
