there are actually people walking around in real life who buy into the meme that most science people have been atheists. u got to lol.
despite us disagreeing about heliocentrism one of my favorite science people from the past is kepler. he made a theological argument for his model of the universe + did some pioneering + artistic geometry work. in some senses an esotericist, seeing geometry relates to god. [...]
he was obsessed with polyhedra and did many interesting studies on them. (this is his idea here but not his actual drawings, in case thats not obvious).
he even built this model of the universe wherein the five platonic solids are nested between the planetary spheres. this is the kind of science i can endorse
