His 'good enough for journalists' flannel won't wash in court proceedings.

(FWIW, I think his points about Parliament being able to control prorogation do not, on analysis, stand up. But my real (respectful) disagreement with him is as to the question whether there is a legal (as opposed to a political) content to a decision to prorogue...
I believe the legal content is to be found in the role that Parliamentary sovereignty plays in our constitution. An act whose purpose is to thwart that role is an act with legal, and not just political, content.)

But note: unlike Prof Endicott I am not a constitutional lawyer.

As I read this paragraph, the Lord President of Scotland's Highest Court finds that the Prime Minister sought to mislead the public as to the real reasons for suspending Parliament.
Drummond Young says he finds it "impossible to see" the decision to suspend Parliament could serve any rational purpose other than preventing Parliamentary scrutiny.

Hard to read this otherwise than as a judicial finding that the Prime Minister, in claiming otherwise, lied.

Facts: 1. Dec 2, 2016 - Justice Kolawole of the Federal High Court ordered the immediate and unconditional release of Zakzaky within 45 days and payment of N50 million in damages for unlawful and unconstitutional arrest and detention.
2. On January 22, 2018, one year after it failed to comply with the court order, the FG through the Attorney General filed an appeal against the court order.
3. 10 January 2019 - The Human Rights Council states that the arrest and continued detention of Zakzaky is arbitrary and violates article 9 of the Universal Declaration and in articles 9 (1) and (2) and 14 (3) (a) of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

This is the CU South thread.

Tbh, my heart's not in it, but I'll tweet when they get to the council discussion over options.
Here's the gist of what's being discussed tonight. To recap: CU wants 129 acres of public land, 30 acres for fields. The current plan will inundate that acreage with water.

Also, the flood wall can only go partially in CDOT's right of way. The rest will have to go in open space
2 qs being decided by council tonight:
Should staff proceed with a design that puts the floodwall on open space?
What’s the better change to accommodate CU: Land use changes, or change to 500-yr design to 100-yr or more?

Bercow asked what House can do about fact PM seems to be ruling out honouring indicative votes before they even take place. Bercow says proceed "with this process... and if there are such votes subsequently... wholehearted participation in them by colleagues is to be recommended"

This all started because the #MetPolice & #LBRUT couldn't do their day jobs properly & decided to take the law into their own hands. It started as a small cover up 12 years ago but has turned into British State Persecution.

My company was raided. It should have been a straightforward matter. But the #MetPolice & #LBRUT forgot to seize my computer & came back to do a 2nd raid. The search warrant didn't permit a second entry, however, #LBRUT entered unlawfully

Complaints were then made to my MP #VinceCable. He liaised with the #Metpolice & #LBRUT. And then weeks later, the search warrant was completely changed & was passed off as the search warrant executed on the day of the raids.

9-11 was a “terrorist” attack, but it was not perpetrated by “angry Arabs”, it was a State-sponsored “inside job”, a “false flag” operation planned, executed, and covered up by elements of the USG and operatives from at least two other countries.
The alleged 19 Arab “hijackers” were “patsies”, several are still alive, several were under the care and feeding of USG operatives and were being “trained” at CIA-operated flight schools.
FBI field agents who discovered the plot were told by their superiors not to investigate the “suspicious Arabs in flight schools”
