This children's home is run by Keys, one the biggest privately owned providers of children's services, and owned by private equity.
Latest Ofsted inspection found the home was inadequate, with serious failures which mean children are not protected.
The unscheduled inspection took place because serious concerns were flagged to Ofsted.
Significant failings, significant shortfalls, serious allegations. This is bleak. This is a child's actual home.
Inability to act as any reasonable parent would to keep a vulnerable child safe.
This home remains open.
Keys charged local authorities £73 million to care for vulnerable children and young people last year.
It is owned by G Square Private Equity. It is ultimately controlled by offshore millionaires who, to quote Geoffrey Boycott, don't give a toss.
It doesn't have to be this way. Privatisation of children's services is bad for children and bad for taxpayers. It has happened on our watch.
