Last night, Elizabeth Warren drew a crowd of 20,000 people in NYC’s Washington Sq. Park, the largest of any candidate in the primary, so far.

I guess she never got the memo about her electability.
And on a Monday night, no less.
Excuse me, Kamala Harris *also* had a rally with at least 20,000 in attendance for her announcement in Oakland. Certainly didn’t mean to forget that.

I love ‘em both!

While some of y’all are ranting about the, uh, “unfairness” of Shane Gillis being fired for racist “jokes”, just a quick reminder that Bowen Yang is literally the first cast member of Asian descent hired. In 2019.

The show has been on-air since 1975.
When you’re used to benefitting from a system of privilege, equality feels like oppression, etc.
Really excited to see the first trans cast member of SNL in 2050, the last season before climate change destroys NYC.

Unpopular opinion: I love "The Princess Bride", but can we stop with this nonsense that remaking a movie erases/diminishes/insults the original film? Y'all are acting like it's been announced that all evidence of the original will be confiscated and destroyed. Simmer down.
That being said, remakes generally tend to suck, but regardless, treating film as sacrosanct and beyond reimagining is kinda the opposite of what art should be?
I'll tell ya what really pisses me off: calling a Disney remake a "live action" when it's really just digital animation. Stop doing that shit.

I have lived and worked in D.C. for about 11 years total, and in that time, I have met a LOT of federal contractors. I'm really worried about the future for many of them, and I want to tell you why. Because this is pretty scary. (thread)
Federal contractors are a huge proportion of the federal workforce. We're talking something around 40% of the folks who basically keep the trains running on time in our country. And because they're not officially federal workers, they're quite vulnerable.
Which is why in 2014, President Obama signed an executive order prohibiting companies that have a contract with the federal government from firing employees on the basis of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Because up to that point? Totally legal.

2/ In the picture you see Brian is dusty up to the hip. That's because he was walking on a gray mountain of dust, but the surface collapsed and he sunk in. He says he was lucky he didn't go in over his head and suffocate. He couldn't get free, so he called for help.
3/ People rescued him (and took the picture). Moonwalker Jack Schmitt was nearby and came to check out the weird gray hill that could support your weight but occasionally collapse so you sink in. Jack played with it and commented "wow, this stuff behaves a lot like lunar soil!"

Last night, a Wall Street guy was drinking at an NYC bar where my husband @BobbyCrace was working. The Wall Street guy didn’t tip him.
2. A man sitting next to The Wall Street bro noticed said to him “You forgot to tip the bartender.” To which the Wall Street bro responded:

“No I didn’t. It will be better for him if I don’t.”
3. An indication that if Bobby were tipped, it would be looked at as a “handout“ and he wouldn’t be motivated to “work on his life”.
