Look, I'm a big fan of the Hawkeyes & Ferentz, but his patented offensive game plan of "we will send you a prior engraved announcement of every play we run and see if you can stop it" is not exactly coaching genius

Despite that, I will support Ferentz thru thick and thin. I like that he recruits overlooked lunchbucket guys who aren't generally behavioral problems, and graduates them while turning them into NFL talent. Plus he's a solid community guy.
Yeah, I know he gets a crazy salary ($4mm) for clockwork smidge-above-average results, but there are plenty of schools with 3 higher paid head coaches - their current one plus the last 2 they fired
