The interesting thing is that "thoughts and prayers" are dismissed as delusional and ineffective but a private thought, captured in some diary or personal email, is ironically grounds for lifelong condemnation.
The publics of the early 21st century are transitioning from the mindset of the 20th when only "matter" was real to an increasing realization that information is just as real. When a Ferrari crashes against a wall all the atoms are still there but the information is gone.
The wrecker drops the Ferrari at the scrapyard, every atom of it, but lacking in a sense, its thoughts and prayers.
