I’m going to share an unpopular position on this one.

In each of these examples, it seems, Rep. Gaetz is referencing quotes that Sharpton made about SPECIFIC PEOPLE.

Does anyone expect him to use pleasantries when talking about his real/perceived enemies?

I don’t...
Are the statements crude - YES!

... but, he only deserves it bc he is self-anointed ‘Race Police’.

I have called some of best friends crude names before - they laughed their asses off and returned fire.

Do we want nice words or do we want ‘real’?
I mean... it’s not like he called victims of sex violence ‘Bimbo Interruptions’, or is it?!?
I’m pulling a ‘full stop’ - a phrase I despise. - bc a lot of ppl are confused w/my point...

Al Sharpton is below the dignity of congress for a whole lot of reasons...

I’m not defending him - I’m talking out about the tactics!

Are we the PC Police now?

For those of you that are shocked they are trying to impeach @realDonaldTrump on such shaky grounds... guess what - it was the plan FROM THE START!

All that we are seeing today is the execution of their plan; everything else was theatrics.

I get it, but if anything is EVER to get better... it’ll be bc we stop letting them write the rules.

Nothing will get better by enforcing the rules that they have written - they were written with destruction as the end goal!

Both sides going full-Alinsky is a bad thing!!!
And @mom_grateful - I’m not sure if you have researched Alinsky or not, but the tactic is straight outta “Rules for Radicals”.

Incidentally, these rules are *very* effective...

But the end goal - the entire basis for these methods - is destruction.
Just saying: It’s a slippery slope... and the Right is becoming far more effective at it than the left.

We need to stop letting them write the rules... with destructive intent.

It is a week since the terrorist attack in New Zealand. It’s also a week since my friend who had being doing so well in recovery, and in a masters program in university, was found dead in my aunt’s house.

It can be very hard to grieve well. Be gentle, with yourself, and others.
On that, I’m aware that I have been, (hopefully uncharacteristically), angry in twitter.

There is a place for anger yet, for me at least, it’s in no way helpful to be online.

I’m aware I responded to quickly to @mbird12, and there may be others.

I ask your forgiveness.
I’m just going to share a few thinks I need to hear often after 15 years of seeking to love (with my complicated self) and live with hurting people struggling addictions, C-PTSD, post-prison, homelessness or seeking safety in a new country after surviving war.

So! Thinking like a function! Step one, what's a function?

I'm so glad you asked! A function is a map between a domain and a codomain!

Not super helpful, right? Is there a better way we can reason about these super important building blocks of computation? Yes!
What we really mean when we say that is this: a function is a rule that associates some sort of output with some sort of input.

Crucially, the same input return the same output every time! Sometimes, this is obvious! sum(1, 3) will always return 4, right?

But is this general?
