1. Our problem as Zimbabweans lies in being excitable but with very little time to interrogate especially reading. Since 2013 Energy companies in Zim amassed Treasury Bills worth US$7Billion. Where do you find this info? It is there in Herald but hidden somewhere in propaganda
2. Trafigura a SINGAPORE commodities company owns 48,79% of Puma Energy which in turn owns 60% of Redan and a majority stake in Sakunda. Please underline Singapore. SINGAPORE!!!!!!!!!
3. Sakunda imported maize from Zambia in 2013 for the ruling party ZANU PF. How were they paid? TREASURY BILLS. In 2016 Sakunda paid civil servants salary. How were they paid? Treasury bills. In 2017, it was reported Trafigura was loaning Zim $1B for the LIMA plan.
4. Zimbabwe cleared its arrears of $2B to IMF, WB & IMF but it also issueb $3.7B worth of Treasury Bills. Which means we borrowed $2B and will pay it back as $3.7 B within 5-10yrs. This information is extrapolated from Mthuli's 2018 budget statement.
5. A further 3B in TB was forwarded to Command Agric again thru the likes of Sakunda, this we get from the Parliamentary inquiries. Now the point I am driving at is, why then today should we celebrate that Sakunda's asserts have been frozen? Treasury Bills are transferable.
6. The $7B probably have have been already liquidated and and the other batch held by the Singaporean companies. If you look today probably lest tha $10million is affected by this freeze. It is just a facade. @MthuliNcube already warned them beforehand. The money is in Singapore!
