Okay, time for a very ranty thread, sorry Twitter:

So after @benz145 Tweeted how bad Real VR Fishing's UX was, my morbid curiosity kicked in and I decided to check it out and see how bad it is.

It's so much worse than I imagined.
Let's start with the intro: My general pet peeves of no hands until more than 30 seconds in after loading screens are present, which is standard. I'm used to it now. After this, you're just thrown into a random room with a little textbox floating in front of you.
The textbox says to go in front of a TV to continue the tutorial, and I generally ignore it (like most players will) since I can figure out how to teleport pretty quickly to the TV. Again, not great, but pretty standard so I deal with it.
The TV has a dreadfully long and boring tutorial, and the controls come off as very complex because of this. This is my first instinct that something isn't right. With such pretty graphics, why isn't there some digital avatar giving me this tutorial? I decide to press on.
I select the map, and am given a list of locations. Great! Let's select one at random! Oh, uhh, no play button? Maybe it's in a different submenu? Nope, nothing there. Oh hey, there's a little lock symbol when clicked, and only one location is blue. Let's try that one instead.
This is all point and click mind you, so this is just a really bad 2D UIs in general. It's appalling, but against my better judgement I press onward. Oh boy, am I shocked at what I saw:
After struggling to cast my fishing rod, I finally manage to catch a fish, and my hand suddenly goes flying to grab it. Except I'm not controlling my hand. Note in this picture that I'm standing several feet AWAY FROM MY OWN HAND! This is bad #VR UX's at its finest.
Once I realize this is a thing, I start playing with my hands more (as most new #VR players will), and begin to realize that my hands are just static meshes that move around. Seriously, the controller buttons do nothing. Also, when you open the menu, your hands just sticks to it.
At this point, I gave up. I'm not sure how this got onto the Quest Store, but if this was someone's first #VR experience (which is likely, since it's one of two fishing games available on the store right now), it'd be pretty appalling.
