I am so angry with every man on here bullying a 16 year old girl, making nasty comments about the way she looks. I suggest talking a look in the mirror before judging a teenage lassie for her appearance. Vile.

They say they disagree with her politics, her demeanour, her stance, and yet men in their forties, fifties, sixties choose to sneer at her for her looks.
Do you have any idea how revolting you are?
For that matter, why do you even care about the attractiveness of a 16 year old?

Why is my body falling apart?!
Sorry, I am being melodramatic! I went walking in the woods on Sunday, and I woke up this morning to find a bite on my leg that has not only swollen, but developed a clear bullseye rash. So the nurse who examined me took one look and has run off to fetch the doctor. That's all!
It's just the timing: my follow up breast screening is in Aberdeen tomorrow morning as well

It's funny how the only stand up comedians who insist that "comedy doesn't matter" are straight white men who target every demographic in their stand ups except straight white men
I went out with a guy who proudly told me "[he] is not easily offended."
To which I thought: why in God's name would you be? There aren't any widely used offensive or demeaning ethnic or sexual slurs for straight white men in this part of the world.
It's hard to offend straight white men because there is literally no offensive language relating to their ethnicity, gender or sexuality that can be used against them.
That's why they're "not easily offended". We have nothing to offend them with.

Stallman was the founder - and is STILL the President and Board Chair - of the Free Software Foundation. The FSF is enormously influential. Among other activities, it publishes the software licenses used by much of the 'copyleft' world - the GPL, LGPL, and AGPL licenses.
I've been a diehard free & open source software user, contributor, and backer since college in the 90s. But at this point, I would rather run proprietary software that I can NEVER see or change if the alternative is to run software licensed by the FSF.

Unpopular opinion up ahead: Been reading much about the #SuhanaKhan Vogue cover and seeing the vitriolic that's been directed at her, I wanted to offer some contextual understanding of the hows and whys of such a cover (and why Suhana doesn't deserve hate). *Please* bear with me:
I'll begin by saying I understand the outrage: There's a person who has no achievement, per se, who's made it to a magazine cover primarily because she's the daughter of a celebrity. There are many more who 'deserve' to be on a cover. There are so many things to unpack here:
1. Suhana Khan's privilege: Yes, she's privileged to be on a cover. She's privileged to be born to SRK. The privileges she's afforded as being a star kid also comes with intense scrutiny by the public. She's had private pictures leaked & is hounded by paparazzi wherever she goes.

On #WorldRefugeeDay I'd like to remember and thank every displaced man, woman and child I've interviewed. They did not owe me their stories, but gave them freely. I will never stop being grateful for and honored by their trust in me. I only wish I had more to give in return.
