Says Dems timed impeachment push to coincide with UN meetings. Also talks about building a "beautiful wall."
Boasts about the "anti-climb" panels atop the wall.

Then segues into discussion of Iranian and Venezuelan corruption and conversations with Franklin Graham about religious liberty.
Trump discloses at the UN presser that there is a second call with Zelensky and suggests that Democrats request a memo about that call as well.

This is after he recommends that Democrats should request records of Pence's phone calls too.
Trump also said he suspects that Schiff and Nadler have been "laughing their asses off" about recent events. He repeats "laughing their asses off" in front of the assembled, international press corps

Past is always prologue for Trump.

“I imagine that Trump was averse to a taping system in his business (and at the White House) for the same reason he was averse to email: It created a record he might not want other people to see.”
In addition to warning of civil war, Trump took to Twitter to accuse Representative Adam Schiff, the Democrat spearheading the impeachment inquiry, of “Fraud & Treason” and to demand that he be allowed to meet the whistle-blower who might have been “SPYING on the U.S. President?”

Trump's phone call to Zelensky shows that he believes it's ok to collude with a foreign government to help win an election. When one reads the Mueller Report in this context, it puts his campaign's 2016 openness to Russian assistance in a different, and not better, light. 1/
Also, Trump's own WH staff (including Pompeo?) responded AT THE TIME of the Zelensky call with actions showing they thought something untoward had happened. Why else hide the evidence in a top-secret location only reserved for national security secrets? 2/

Because their strategy to remove Trump from office by getting a Special Counsel appointed to find evidence to use for impeachment so utterly failed, Democrats frantically searched for the past several months trying to find something that could replace it.
It now seems Democrats think they have at last found a real scandal they can use to move forward with impeachment hearings in the House.
