@urbanomacchi I was. Look, we're all trapped in it. No one, including me, is immune. What I'm pointing towards is a critique of "the West." The Alt-Right wants to defend this ideal and way of life that, at least in its current form, is destroying the world. We need to be post-West.
@urbanomacchi There's this meme that we need to "defend The West" against barbarian hoards who will, as it were, take away our Cheez-it Pizza. Multiculturalism, non-White identity politics, AOC-style socialism—none of these is anti-West; they're all the culmination of "The West."
@urbanomacchi I would define "The West" as emerging from Christianity, passing through liberalism into postmodernism. Essentially, individualism + universalism (concepts which have never been opposed). It's Twitter, so forgive me for painting with such broad strokes.
