Here’s an example of how BBC gets played by extremists. Ran a headline since last night that Tories will build 40 new hospitals. It’s since emerged that was a lie.

There need to be consequences for political lies. But now they’ve had 16 hours of the ‘40’ hospitals claim topping news, and it’s in national conscience. Quiet correction will be lost

Again, this isn’t the Beeb being party-political biased. It’s the spin doctors playing it by abusing the ‘polite’ playing by the old rules of the political news team. It’s like the racism row - you can’t possibly call a political leader a liar either 😟
BBC News editorial teams need to urgently review how they handle being lied to, to game the coverage. They need to ensure the story about the lie gets as much or more coverage than the lie did
