I’m putting this out on twitter for consideration.
Yes it is a bit of moralizing. I generally try to shy away from emotional rants. But this is a commentary on human nature and what happens to us when we are faced with existential threat.

Many Canadians, from all points on the political spectrum, are facing life threatening consequences for the first time in their lives due to climate change.
Most don’t have a direct link to the existential threats of WW2 and The Great Depression.

Character is defined by decisions under stress. Whether you are progressive or conservative, the decision you make on Election Day speaks volumes to your character and what you believe and value.
Do we have the intestinal fortitude and ethical foundations to choose unity over our own self interests? I hope so. Our existence as a species depends on it.
