What's truly odious is how leftists appropriate genuine and growing Jewish concerns about anti-Semitism to shield George Soros, a hyperactive political funder and activist, from any criticism.
The same people who pretend to be offended for Jews when legitimate facts about Soros are pointed out, are typically the same people who defend UK Labor and the Squad here in the US.
Are there some ppl who peddle anti-semitic tropes re: Soros? I'm sure there are. Is the guy in this video saying anything remotely anti-semitic? Of course not.
Earlier I saw Beinart, who's never met a leftist anti-Semite he wouldn't defend, using this same nonsense to claim Schiff was being targeted by Rs.
The only openly anti-semitic politicians in the US reside with the majority in the House. And they're not shy about it.

Reminder. Anita Hill was not a credible accuser:
To this day, not a single person—and Clarence Thomas had scores of subordinates working for him during his years in government; then and now—came forward to substantiate that the judge had ever acted in the ways described by Hill towards anyone else.
On the other hand, 12 former female colleagues of Thomas and Hill signed an affidavit supporting him. Not one person who worked with both came forward to vouch for Hill.

Anti-Semitism on the left not only exists, but there’s a wider group of people who are in total denial about it and dismiss any suggestion it’s there as a smear campaign.

This is completely out of order and has to be confronted and defeated.
Yes, right wing elements will always hijack, weaponise and manipulate any issue. That doesn’t mean the issue doesn’t exist.

If I start randomly punching people, right wing elements would use that against the left. That doesn’t mean I’m not randomly punching people!
You can both condemn and oppose anti-Semitism, and oppose Israel’s brutal and illegal occupation. And - and here’s a critical point - you can have a conversation about each without bringing in the other.
