The ODNI has released the 2018 FISA records on this post.

Note this is the sequel to the 99 page FISC opinion in April of 2017 on FBI FISA abuse. BUT they did not submit a 2017 compliance review because that ruling extended certification til April 2018.

It also allowed efforts against the coup to delay notification of FISC until the coup was defeated. So this is a 2018 submission on compliance in 2017 & 2018.

FBI FISA 702 Queries were unconstitutional. But the time window will dupe Dems into thinking Trump did it!
This is interesting, the FBI or DOJ NSD made some incorrect & very broad interpretations of 702. Like saying that if FBI had info that a person might be compromised at a contractor, searching the 100 people that work there would be reasonably likely to return national sec info.
But in reality, searching any 1 of those 100 individuals would not be likely to return nat sec info making the search unreasonable. So FBI was arguing that by searching more people, it was being more likely to find legally authorized info making it more reasonable.
These aggregate searches are clearly unconstitutional and were stopped probably in October 2018.
But it means that the FBI could have used an aggregate search to find nat sec info on suspected members of the Trump Campaign, by claiming it was likely they would find something.
Even if they had no evidence to justify searching any one individual. This may reveal a lot & it is very interesting that they insisted on getting the court to rule this as unconstitutional & to declassify it now!
I suspect we are going to learn much more about these "Categorical Querying Procedures" or the lack there off prior to these minimization procedures being implemented in October 2018.
Who & what would I get in a categorical query for the Trump Tower?
Would love to know what that second redaction is, the who ran the most egregious batch query is under the first box.

But speculating, what would you get if you ran a query on everyone with gmail?
Some of this explains why this is such a long process. The court approved the 2016 minimizations in 2017. Then came back for renewal in early 2018. Finally ruling (against the FBI's interpretation) in October 2018. Which was appealed to FISC-R in July 2019

The DOJ tried to hide these FBI FISA 702 issues in Sept of 2016, NSA dimed them out in October of 2016 & it took until July 2019 for these procedures to be ruled unconstitutional by the FIS Court of Review which hears appeals to FISC rulings.
