In the early 1950's we had GPS before we had satellites. LORAN-B was a radio-based land positioning system with an accuracy of tens of feet and a range of 1,500 miles. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LORAN
2) That's the same range as your cellphone GPS now.

If we believe a signal comes from space or from the ground our phone works the same. We have no way to be sure unless we build our own transmitter.

Meanwhile, our taxes are burned in space.

3) Modern radar no longer needs to send a pulse to detect metallic targets... There's enough electromagnetic noise that radar only needs to listen. Our ionosphere is so full of noise now it becomes impossible to determine where a "global" signal originates.

Catholic churches have relics embedded into the pulpit. These are usually the bone shards of someone important. It's insane how they pre-haunt a place of worship with misplaced bones on a pedestal. This is the eternal golden child ritual. Scapegoats pray before the pulpit.
They hide the truth in Hollywood movies, Scooby-Doo cartoons, and teenie-bopper horror flicks about Indian burial mounds and evil spirits. The truth isn't out there. It's veiled in glitter.

He thought something died a little bit inside him when Jen first told him she was leaving Detroit. They had been split for a while, and Hank was slowly adjusting to this new normal where he only saw Cole on weekends. It wasn't so bad, especially when he looks back on it now.
