Christian movies about Rapture gave me a full-blown anxiety problem as a child.
Heavy storms terrified me, honking sounds terrified me, randomly coming across 666 in a math problem gave me weird feelings.

American kids were watching Star Wars, we were watching Ibere Opin Aiye.

My friends in deeper life homes didn't even have TVs in their homes because Daddy Kumuyi has outlawed it.
We all know how imaginative children can be, the imagination you feed in your children is very crucial to their mental development.

Fill your children's heads with reason and rationale first, before religion.
If they end up choosing religion after they have been soaked in rationality then its all good but don't instill religion first, I do not think this is reasonable.

We have normalized childhood religious brainwashing.
The reason some of you think your faith is strong in your religion is that you have been initiated into religion early in your life, and gradually programmed and brainwashed, there is nothing special about you or your faith.

Some people put their children through learning books like the Quran under the most hostile conditions and terrible tutors, I have read the Quran, that book is not for children.
It is a very archaic and violent book and it makes no sense making your children learn it.

Imagine restricting your children and youngsters from watching violent content on TV but you granted them unlimited access to the Quran; a book that talks about fighting and killing for Allah and crucifying people who disrespect Muhammad and Allah.

School children in the north once killed their teacher because the teacher disrespected their religion, those kids thought they did the right thing. Where do you think they got that idea?
These are children who had their childhood, rationality, and humanity hijacked by religion.

A couple of decades back, a majority of Nigerian parents were raising children on the Quran, Apoti Eri, and Ibere Opin Aiye, they also censored "worldly things" in their homes, preparing for the rapture while a lot of kids in serious countries were reading comic books...

... watching Star Trek and Star Wars, reading Science novels, having their brains stimulated to create, dreaming of becoming astronauts, becoming computer geniuses.
Today, you wonder why America is where they are, their children got a positive kind of brainwash en mass...

...and that played a role in their overall development. Their society brainwashed their kids and sparked their interest in productive things very early, while we were preoccupied with the white man's old toy "Religion".
The white man has a new toy now, it's called Science.

People are always welcome to misunderstand me, I'm not saying raising your children in a secular way is a yardstick and automatically guarantees that they'd grow to become great people, not saying raising kids in a religious way would automatically stunt their imagination.

I'm saying, theoretically, it is better to not instill religion on children, especially a religion that has too many complicated elements, unrealistic and unproductive teachings, moral conflicts, and outright violent ideas, let's discontinue this redundant chain.

But hey, whatever mehn, raise your children however you want.
