Imagine being so oblivious to asymmetries in cultural or institutional power to think "Mutually Assured Cancellation" is actually a thing.

Also, imagine thinking that the pathetic Carson King affair actually DEMONSTRATES the Mutually Assured Cancellation thesis.

Only a conservative would be naive enough to believe this.

Quite the contrary, the Carson King issue strengthened Cancel Culture's public legitimacy and its capacity to cancel people who actually pose a threat.
