Okay, this came up while I was searching for the thread I'm looking for and... yeah, I fully believe no one wanted to game with this guy.

Every point on his list translates to "I play to win, and metagame to the hilt." Guaranteed.
Everybody who says they are playing the monsters logically means they are playing them as if they can see the entire battle layout from the DM's vantage point, perfectly understand their own capabilities and those of their enemies, and fight according to the logic of the game.
And while such DMs will use the cheesiest tactics imaginable "because obviously in a fight to the death the monsters would do everything they can to win", any attempt to harness tactics against them result in "But unfortunately you said that out loud so they know your plan."
Meanwhile the monsters all act in perfect coordination and if called on it, "Well, they worked out these tactics in advance. Logically they would have. If you wanted to do the same, no one's stopping you, but you can't just *say* you did now."
Never mind that the game runner is making up the monsters' pre-arranged tactics as needed and then reasoning they must logically have come up with them in advance, because obviously they would have.
Now this looks like a good site, especially as it takes into account what each NPC is in the narrative, not just what their stats are.

One of the problems 4E had with catching on with the forum crowd is that in trying to use mechanics to encourage the kind of gameplay desired, it ran smack up against the adversarial style of gamerunning.
You'd have DMs going, "Okay, but if the tank PC can impose a -2 penalty on me to attack anyone else, that means the player wants me to attack their character, which means I should deny him that."
To me, "realistically" most of the time an opponent would recognize the heavily armed and armored warrior right in front of them as the threat and not automatically assume *anyone* in the group is The Wizard and therefore the real danger.

But this is... "illogical".
