With its latest infusion, Softbank will have invested $10+ billion and loaned $5 billion to WeWork—a firm it now values under $8 billion.

Now I'm not a professional investor like the folks at Softbank. But that seems... terrible.

Months later, the company's latest valuation is under $8 billion.

What a disaster.
This isn't just financial rubbernecking. It's a disaster.

Thousands of people could lose their jobs because of this disastrous misallocation of capital.

People who moved cities, moved families, diverted and uprooted their lives to participate in this crazy house of cards.
