I logged out of Twitter just to read the twitter timeline of an ex-ComicsGater I just watched be interviewed on YouTube.
Literally 95% of his tweets are about me, and how to depose me as "leader of ComicsGate" etc etc.
The mental illness of these people is profound.

Last summer, after CYBERFROG BLOODHONEY was an enormous success, strange voices started suggesting that I was selfish by not allowing other indie creators access to my platform. Why couldn't I "help" people? Surely I owed it to the community.
I considered this, and since I enjoyed YouTube anyhow, I decided I should use my voice to help others.
This has lead to a clusterfuck of hurt feelings, anger, jealousy, conspiracy theories and very strange efforts by these same people who reached out to me to destroy my life.

I think about it all of the time. What would I do differently, if I could go back and make changes?
There are some who I never should have helped. I was delaying the inevitable for them. Others I would have brought closer to me sooner, and some who I should have shunned.

Ultimately, by helping so many people, for better or worse, I was seen as a usurper of a hashtag movement within comics who could make or break careers, and who put the focus on building up indies instead of trying to change the mainstream.
These weird people see me as charismatic, with excess personal magnetism commanding internet armies to crush "dissent."
I see me as a strange middle aged wallflower goof, with lots of creative energy, but mostly pretty much a humorous schlub trying to sell comics.

I'm grateful for my prominence within ComicsGate and thankful for the friends I've made along the way.

I can't wait to get CYBERFROG REKT PLANET underway and get back to promoting indies on nightly ComicsGate Live! shows. I feel like I can do anything right now.
