I want to apologize if the arc of my life, being persecuted as a vocal Republican in a Leftist industry, having my career and reputation stripped from me, responding by rising up against that corruption and becoming the "74th most powerful man in comics", made "OG CG" YTers mad.
This was your sandbox, you were happily making and enjoying videos about Tom Brevoort. And then I came in and saw big money in somehow STOPPING you guys from doing that, just so that I could turn all of my professional peers against me and fight the Culture War of my dreams.
This has all been very selfish of me. Please accept my apology, geniuses of "OG ComicsGate" that haven't started doing your own comics. I won't stop you from doing exactly what you were doing before somehow ever again.🐸🌈🤷‍♂️

2017 saw some voices of varying importance rise up on YouTube to criticize the Comics Industry.

Douglas Ernst, Diversity & Comics and Captain Frugal offered insight and ideas that were adopted by many, and built upon. Ernst and D&C went on to realize that publishing...
...was the inevitable solution to the problems they wrote and talked about, and they did that. (Still waiting on Frugal to invent a comic!)

Jon Malin and I joined the cause because we were forced to by these realities. We began to crowdfund new comics that weren't SJW.
They were incredibly successful, and others asked to join us. Doug TenNapel, Mike S. Miller, Art Thibert, etc.

Some lesser voices on YouTube resented their arrival, felt that we'd "hijacked their movement," and complained bitterly as their numbers and viewership dropped.

The problem here is that we had one group of liars whispering that I was working with WC which created fear in anyone who might have given me this info or evidence.

“WC IS EVIL BUT IM AFRAID TO TELL YOU WHY!”
You contributed to this, Edwin, when I asked you for the evidence you had that I didn’t. I needed that to make a decision and was denied it.
Meanwhile, liars like Doug TenNapel are still spreading diseased paranoia about it, right out in the open, to distract from his effort to scrub evidence of his transphobia from twitter. We’ve got serious problems.

Refamous is lying, @arttavana . #ComicsGate began when Cultural Marxists began successfully demanding that the exaggeration of female form be stricken from the art of comic books (see victims Milo Manara and Frank Cho) and then began using this new influence to impose more...
...unwanted change on classic comic books and characters. Cherished superheroes were replaced with flat and uninteresting new alternate versions solely because they were deemed "non diverse" white males, and complaints were met with accusations of "bigotry and harassment."
The books themselves became rife with terrible stories, cultural lectures, and most irritating of all, typos and grammar mistakes that should have been discovered and corrected by the assistant editors, if not the editors themselves.

I grew up in a small town in Utah where hunting was a big deal. We’d get out of school for the annual deer hunt. My best friend (who was also the prom queen) had her own gun cabinet. My brothers got BB guns when they joined Cub Scouts.
So while I’m not a gun owner and don’t want to be, I’ve always tried to be supportive of gun rights.

That has changed.

I’ve come to believe a gun ban in the U.S. is inevitable.
I’ve been discussing this idea on different forums for a few months and I’ve collected the arguments I’ve received. They boil down to 15 points. I’m presenting them here, with my responses, as a sort of a Gun Ban Q&A.

No one can still in denial about what Daenerys is after she just burned a million women, children and men with impunity.

There's also no way we can blame this on bad writing, because it's not. It's the culmination of years of hollow morals. And it's also brilliant.
It's horrific, tragic, and brilliant. And it's high time for a lot of people to wake up and look critically at what they've been stanning, because the point of this story is very much about them. It's about anyone who has uncritically stanned unchecked, destructive power.
There's a quote by George RR Martin where he likens Dany's dragons to atomic bombs, and to me it summarises a lot of the intent behind her character. Martin goes on to say that ”You can have the power to destroy, but it doesn't give you the power to reform, or improve, or build.”

Every so often I find it fun to try and re-articulate my worldview from scratch, often in the hope that there will be some new or interesting bit to it
1. We are cluelessly born into the middle of a bustling, chaotic story. We are tiny ants on a leaf on a branch on a tree, and everyone around us certainly seems to be in a great hurry
2. We start out as extremely local beings, embedded in our families, our peers, our communities. We inherit their beliefs, their aspirations, their traumas, their flags - most of which they inherited in turn. As children we are onboarded into their rituals and superstitions
