The tasks, the good works, God prepared in advance for you to accomplish (Eph2:10) do not just require righteousness. They require FAITH. You will not accomplish them accidentally because you will have to face then deliberately forsake your most relentless motivator: your fear.
In this corner of Christianity, Bible scholarship is esteemed above all. Doesn’t matter how we love. It matters what we know. Make no mistake, we’re indeed called to diligently study the Scriptures & we desperately need the knowledge of those who’ve studied them more than we, but
the result of Bible study is meant to be increased intimacy with God and, thereby, increased faith resulting in works we were preassigned by Him to accomplish. The way God reckons righteousness, there is no such thing as righteous faithlessness. “Abraham believed God & it was ->
credited to him for righteousness.” (Rom4:3) I promise you based on the authority of Scripture, what the enemy wants most isn’t your integrity, your job, your marriage, morality or your church though they are important. He wants your FAITH because it’s essential to pleasing God.
He wants your faith because it’s essential to fulfilling your divine assignments. He wants your faith because it’s essential to love. Last couple of thoughts, all of which spring from my reading in Numbers 13-14 this AM: Faithlessness and fear are wildly contagious. In fact, the
statistics, based on these chapters alone, are these:
2 out of 12 took God at His word.

When all is said and done, the testimony of our lives that will last forever will follow these words:

By faith, he/she...

If I err, and I have and will, let me err on the side of faith.
