if there's one thing i've learned over the last two years, it's that there is an incredible need for good local news. that's why i'm so glad to see the reporters at my local paper are unionizing.

i promise you, these local journalists could get better paying jobs. jobs that didn't require them to work a second job to make ends meet, jobs that didn't earn them angry emails from people who don't like the news. their work is valuable & they're fighting to be treated that way
