laurie, why are you so obsessed with me?
i mean if these people really want to see all my tweets & selfies, they can just follow me on twitter. it seems like a lot of extra work for laurie to post screenshots in the comments on every post about the statues on facebook.
on one hand it’s very funny to me that because i’m the only person in charlottesville whose name they can remember, they assume i’m the mastermind of everything that happens here. on the other hand, it’s not great that so many strangers want to shoot me.
then again, i guess we’re hardly strangers anymore. howard here did have his opportunity to teach me a lesson two weeks ago but all he did was spit in my face.

the interesting thing about this poor showing is that it demonstrates the power the united daughters of the confederacy have in the broader altright movement. they issued a stand down. other groups grumbled and bristled... but seem to have obeyed.
the violent escalation of various far right groups that have been turning up in pittsboro since the vote to remove the statue proves that the statue itself is a lightning rod. it hurts the UDC’s case for keeping the statue for armed, angry men to be the associated with the fight.

i expressed surprise at their eagerness for nuggets, saying “they’ve never even had chicken nuggets before.”
to which @NeolithicSheep replied sheepishly, “oh they’ve had nuggets.”
