For those of you telling us we need to move on from Beto and choose another candidate...I think there’s a lot you will never truly get. Most of you never took the time to understand because you were told by a dishonest media that it wasn’t there. 1/18
We didn’t just lose Beto. We lost his dream for America. A dream we made our own. A dream that some of us have been fighting alongside him, for over three years now. 2/18
After so many years of apathy, Beto woke me up and dared me to Believe that if we came together we could have a Texas that was more tolerant and inclusive. 3/18
A texas where my daughter could adopt a baby or go to work and not have to hide who she is or to make the hardest choice a woman has to make privately and with dignity. 4/18
Where my daughter in law doesn't have to worry when her parent who both served honorably in the military, don't answer the phone that they might be imprisoned or deported without notice. 5/18
Where my friend could use the bathroom they felt comfortable using and not fear arrest.. 6/18
Where my family could enjoy a movie and not worry if the guy sitting next to us with a gun as long as his leg is a good gun with a gun or the reason I’m searching for the nearest exit. 7/18
When Texas proved resistant to Beto’s vision for America, we all thought it was the right thing to do to take his message of Hope and Inclusion to a country who at the time seemed to embrace it.8/18
Why that changed will be something I will be discussing for years to come and I suppose we’ll never know? 9/18
Beto again dared us to dream now of a Country that ALL are welcome and celebrated and have access to what's necessary to thrive. 10/18
He showed us that every living being has worth and should be respected. 11/18
He reminded us if we come together and yell they will hear us. If we yelled loud enough we can win. 12/18
He made us remember that we had as much of a right to everything good in life as the ones with money and power. 13/18
And told us to believe we could be anything if we tried...even my longboard riding, punk rock loving, “f”bomb dropping sons (and daughters) could grow up to be President. 14/18
After the way we treated him I’m convinced we didn’t deserve Beto. He gave everyone he met every bit of himself that he could and for his efforts he got so much vitriol and hate thrown at him. He didn't deserve that nor did his young family .15/18
While other candidates offer bits and pieces of the dream that Beto wove with his powerful words, no one comes close to the whole vision...Beto’s America. The one I’ll continue to wish for. 16/18
Don't worry. When the time comes, I’ll vote for the candidate you choose because I know we can’t risk losing to Trump, but my heart won’t be in it. My heart will always be running with Beto.17/18
When Beto’s ready to start whatever he decides to start again I’ll be waiting to jump back on board. He promised we’ve only just begun and I still BELIEVE. #HellYes #StillWithBeto #BetoIsMyPresident #ThankYouBeto 18/18
